Rantings of a Road Warrior

This blog post is designed as reference/bookmark for myself, but I hope it helps some­one too.

I nor­mally sort pic­tures I have taken every so often, usu­ally when the flash card is full. So they are usu­ally taken over a period of time from dif­fer­ent dates/times etc.

So here is my process of han­dling  these pictures.

1. Copy pic­tures from the card to an inter­me­di­ate folder

2. Tag any GPS (Geo­t­ag­ging) info I may have to the pic­tures (I use GPICSync)

3. Use Pho­to­Move to sort + move the pic­tures from the tem­po­rary folder to the final rest­ing place of the pic­tures, sorted by year/month/day.

4. Use Picasa to do basic changes touch-up and to upload pictures.

5. Use pho­to­shop for the heavy duty work.

Any com­ments on improv­ing that work-stream is welcome.
